Oculoplastic Surgery covers a broad range of procedures. Below are results from the various procedures that Dr Anthony Maloof offers.
Deadly cancer called sebaceous gland carcinoma with an urgent removal required. The after-photo shows just one month after almost complete removal of upper eyelid and reconstruction including restoration of lashes. Full vision retained and the eye is fully protected.
Chronic recurrent Chalazions – This lady suffered terrible oil gland disease of the eyelids for years. Aside from chronic recurrent chalazions, her eyes looked terribly red. After multimodal therapy over time, we were able to get her eyelids back to normal.
Ectropion repair at one week for both sides on a 93 year old lady. Suffering a sticky watery eye. This is what it looked like at one week just before removing stitches.
Keyhole brow lift – A heavy upper eyelid is often due to an ageing brow. Keyhole lifting of the brow restores and rejuvenates the eyelids and has a much faster recovery.
Rounding the canthus – After multiple failed cosmetic operations elsewhere, this patient suffered from rounding of the outer eyelid, which sloped downwards causing discomfort and watering. Specialised elevation, correction and cheek lift was undertaken to restore function, appearance and comfort. Image at 6 weeks post-surgery with an aesthetically pleasing youthful canthal angle. If only we could photograph how she felt!
